Fuse (Formally Overstrike) - Finally Something New

Insomniac games has finally released some new information on Fuse. If you did not read the tile of this article then you won't know what Fuse is though. It was announced in 2011 as Overstrike. Go ahead and watch the original trailer in that link, I'll still be here.  Familiarized with it now? Good. Well X-Play had a Gameplay preview of the game recently. Looks like it will have a focus con co-op and have some fun weapons thanks to a made up power source called, wait for it, fuse. The game will be available for 360 and PS3 in March of 2013. If you want more details check out the preview.

More Wii Bundles

It appears that Nintendo is not going to let the Wii go quietly into the dark. Just a short time ago they announced a price drop and a new bundle for those that had yet to purchase a Wii, and now they have added fuel to that fire.  Today Nintendo has announced two more Wii bundles.

The first of these bundles is a White Wii that will come with a matching Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuck as well as Ubisofts Just Dance 4. This bundle has an MSRP of $129.99. The other bundle is a blue Wii with matching Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuck. Its big difference is that it will come with Skylanders Giant, one portal of power, two Skylanders characters and one exclusive Giant Skylander. This system has an MSRP of $149.99 attached to it. More money for more physical items I supposed.

Both of these bundles are set to be in stores on Nov 4, 2012 and will be availble in limited quantities. At least that is how I read "while supplied last" in the press release. What the starting supplies are though is anybody guess.

Assassin's Creed III - Interactive Trailer

I don't know about you, but I am enjoying these interactive trailers that have become popular as of late. The latest of which to follow this new trend is Ubisoft with Assassin's Creed III. This one has a nice set of options for multiple viewings. Enjoy!

This Weeks Geek - The Assassins

Quiet, unassuming, deadly. These are the traits of a master assassin. They can blend in with a crowd, disappear into the shadows, kill a target without being spotted and then disappear without a trace. But why does one become an assassin? Is it for revenge? Are they born into it? Or is it something more? With the wealth of assassin based games that are coming out this season I felt now would be a great chance to look into this dark and seedy underworld.

Wii Price Drop

Are in the market of a Wii, a second Wii, or a replacement Wii? Well have a I got some good news for you. Nintendo is releasing a new Wii bundle as an attempt to make one final push on Wii sales before the Wii U ships. This new all bundle will be replacing the current system that comes with New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This system will include a black Wii, black Wii Remote Plus and matching Nunchuck controller, and both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort on one disc (both fancy and convenient).  The best part of this, the new system is going to retail at $129.99.  While stores are already getting the new console you can expect it to be widely availble by 10/28/2012 (Nintendo has a thing for Sundays it would seem).

Dishonored Interactive Trailer

I felt that I have kept forgetting to bring this game up, and now it comes out Tuesday. So with that I will finish this assassin's trifecta with an interactive trailer for Dishonored.

This interactive video contains some minor spoilers, and is best played while in 'Full screen'.

Hitman - The Kill

So the name of the game is assassination. But how does one go about it? Are you stealthy? Do you aim at just one target? Do you use the environment to do your dirty work? Or do you go all out with guns and explosives? Lets see how what Agent 47 thinks?

Intrigued? The wait is almost over as Hitman Absolution hits stores November 20, 2012.

Assassin's Creed Season Pass

This has nothing to do with the DLC. I just liked the shot.Ubisoft has announced that you can get all 5 DLC packs that will come out for Assassin's Creed III as they come out for one cost of $29.99 (2400 MS Points). The season pass will come out within 6 months of the game coming out and will give people a saving of 25% on the DLC packs (assuming you buy all 5) and, this is the cool(ish) part, you get the DLC a week before non-season pass owners. This means you get a chance of bragging rights on beating the new DLC before your friends get a chance to even play it.

So what do they plant to do with this DLC? Well for the first one they are doing a "what if" model. A quick quote from the press release:

“History is our playground – and AC teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period,” said Sebastien Puel, Executive Producer at Ubisoft. “While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”

To show this off the first DLC is titled "The Tyranny of King George". In it George Washington looks at the newly freed colonies. People love him and want him to rule. In this reality he take the over to live as king, and the power goes to his head. Now Conner must fight a man he once called friend to end the new tyranny.

So what do you think? Do you like the idea of this sort of "What If" DLC? Also what d you think about this continued use of a season pass?
