Best Voice Acting of 2013

More and more voice acting is being used in game. Something that was only text in the past is now fully voiced (except Link). And as games of started using more and more actors, they have gotten better. It is still difficult for some of them to feel out their characters and how they should respond, but they have gotten better. Here are our nominees for the best of them this past year.

  • The Last of Us
  • Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
  • Batman: Arkham Origins
  • Ni No Kuni
  • Grand Theft Auto V

And the winner is, The Last of U.  Here at The Gameslave, we awarded The Last of Us with best story and what helps the story thrive is the fantastic voice acting, which is why The Last of Us takes the cake for best voice acting.  Ever sense the Mass Effect trilogy, I’ve consciously made an effort to listen how the voice acting is done and without a doubt, The Last of Us has outshone its competition in the voice acting department.  The two lead characters of Joel (Troy Baker) and Ellie (Ashley Johnson) were nothing short of remarkable.  They acted their parts masterfully and it is shown in the final product.  While the others characters you meet along your journey are not as prominent as Joel and Ellie, the voice actors are still very professional in delivering a high quality performance.
