Get Over Here!

Dear Mortal Kombat,

On the eve of your newest release, I want to thank you for going back to your roots.  I can't wait to see and pull off all the different fatalities that will make me squirm and possibly vomit in my mouth a little bit, but in a disturbing good way, if that's possible.  It's been far too long since we've seen a true Mortal Kombat game; one that focuses on 2D fighting and of course the fatalities.  I first laid eyes on this new Mortal Kombat on June 15, 2010 at E3 with the tentative title of Mortal Kombat: Mortal Kombat - Mortal Kombat.  To be honest, I wasn't really expecting much at the demo booth; just stopped by to see if it should be mentioned in our daily E3 write ups.  Needless to say, I was blown away and giggled like a little school girl when I first saw the new X-Ray attacks.  However, I do have one complaint, why change the name from Mortal Combat Cubed to just Mortal Kombat?  I realize you want to reunite gamers to what made you you, but you have to admit, if Mortal Kombat is awesome, then Mortal Kombat: Mortal Kombat - Mortal Kombat would be three times more awesome, right?!?  But, I digress.  Thumbs everywhere will be in pain from not being able to put down the controller and many gamers will be spouting "just one more match."  The pain will be a good pain; not like the pain Sub Zero will feel when Scorpion hooks him and yells "Get over here!"  Thanks again MK, I look forward to many late nights and multiple gaming parties.  Finish Him!!!
