The Beer Has Been Chosen

A tradition of Denver Comic Con has been a specialty beer crafted by Breckenridge Brewary. The first year they had the "Fantastic Pour" and for year two they had the "Caped Brewsader". Now the third beers name has been chosen, "Brews Wayne". This was chosen from over 1000 names that were submitted and voted on by fans. The beer is a "hoppy amber ale, a hybrid-style with two distinctly different, yet complimenting flavors. This full body amber ale has a herbal and floral punch of aroma with wood understones. WIth a hearty malt base and lively hop character, Brews Wayne is the perfect beer for the playboy by day and superhero by night."

To compliment the beer Colorado-based author, artist, and video game developer, Josh Viola along with comic book artist and illustrator Aaron Lovett have created this years comemorative pint glass and tap handle art for Brews Wayne. And your first chance to see these and taste the beer will be at the debut party located at The 1up - Colfax (717 E Colfax Ave, Denver). The party will start at 8:00 PM on May 30th and feature live music from Total Ghost, Sundown Social, and DJ Ginger Perry. Even better the first 200 to arrive will received one of the limited edition pint glasses. Even the artists, Josh Violoa and Aaron Lovett, will be on hand to unviel the commemorative art. Breckenridge Brewery will also be one hand providing samples of Brews Wayne to attendees, and they will have their infamous photo boot in toll to make sure they capture it all. Finally Geek Street Society will be remote hosting their radio show from the party.
