The Professional Gamer - May 2, 2014
/Hello readers! During this past week I watched a whole lot of Adventure Time, read some more about gardening, and picked up an old casual RPG again. Read on to find our more.
Watching: This past week, we got a digital download of Adventure Time Season 4 and watched through all of it this week. This series has moved from a simple kids show to discussing some rather mature and difficult themes in a way that is still age appropriate for the target audience. This especially comes through in the episodes "I Remember You" and "You Made Me" where we see some of the more difficult characters in a more sympathetic light. All in all, there are so many great episodes in this season, that I could spend the entire post with it. Suffice to say, this series is still worth your time.
Reading: I'm continuing my read through of lots of gardening books and getting lots of ideas about how to improve my garden. I'm making a big list of project to do over the winter in the garage.
Playing: Back in about 2008 there was an amusing little browser game called Skyrates, where you play a pilot exploring a world filled with floating sky islands. On a whim, I decided to load the game up again. Fortunately there had recently been a major update and reset, which meant that I was not too far behind the other players. The game has not changed much since I originally played it, and is still a lot of fun. If you are in the market for something simple and casual, I recommend it.
That's all for this week. I'll be out of town next week, so my update may be late or non-existant. Game on!
