The Professional Gamer - December 7, 2015
/Hello everyone! I hope all of my American readers had a great Thanksgiving holiday. For any international readers, now you know why there was no article posted last week. You might think that with some additional time off, that I would have played some games or something. But that's kinda not the case. What have I been doing for the past week? Read on to find out!
What I have done is read a lot more of both The Lord of the Rings and The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage. I am enjoying both of them, in different ways. LotR is the old familiar friend to Lovelace and Babbage's new romance thrill.
I have also started working on a (currently theoretical) Traveller game, that I would like to start running with my local friend group. Of course, that will likely wait until our current games are finished up or on hiatus. But, I'm really enjoying the random star system generation rules. It feels like a great way to put together a huge amount of story potential, with minimal front end investment from me. I'll post an update once I get further along in the planning.
That's all I've got for now. We're only a few weeks out from Christmas at this point. I'm planning regular updates up through December 21. After that, we'll have to play it by ear. Have a great week, and game on!
