The Professional Gamer - May 30, 2016

Hello readers, I hope you are all having a great Memorial Day and enjoying some well deserved time off.  I'll be running the Bolder Boulder 10K race and then playing lots of video games.  Speaking of, let's talk about what I've been doing for the past few weeks.

I may have made a mistake and installed Pokemon: Shuffle on my 3DS.  So, that is the new thing that is eating up a lot of my free time in between other activities.  Its fun, though I do feel the push towards spending money to win is very strong with this game.  I think Nintendo has underestimated by my ability to slowly grind my way through a game.  Take that developers!

I also ended up buying Faster Than Light since it was on the Humble Bundle this week.  I've only played one round through, but it is a fun combination of silly and impossible.  It's gonna be a go to game when I have a half hour to burn: too much for Pokemon Shuffle and not enough for Elite: Dangerous.

Speaking of Elite: Dangerous, the latest DLC/expansion is released this weekend and I'm looking forward to trying it out this weekend.  Not sure if that will actually happen, but I'm going to do my best.

Finally, the reason I didn't post an article last week was due to attending the release party for this year's Denver Comic Con beer.  Honestly, this years beer was a bit disappointing, largely because the apricot flavor was not nearly as strong as I had hoped.  But, if you are into lightly flavored, slight fruity beer, this might be your new favorite.

That's all I've got for this week.  Have a great Memorial Day and game on!
