E3 2016 - EA Impressions
/EA had their E3 2016 Press conference today. And while I didn't watch it live, I did get a chance to check out that they reveled today. And here is what I think about what they talked about.
- Titanfall 2
- Thank you for actually putting in a single-player campaign. This will individually get me to purchase the game.
- The grappling hook in multi-player looks neat, but I get the feeling I am going to want to murder the people using it.
- Madden 2017
- Another football game. Not a big fan of these, so meh.
- But that said, what they are doing for the professional player community is pretty cool
- Referring to the tournament with a $1,000,000 prize.
- Mass Effect: Andromeda
- WOOOOOO! Mass Effect!
- New aliens, new planets, and new technology!
- What, 2 years in dev and no real game play trailer?
- FIFA 2017
- More sports games, yay for those that like soccer/football. Meh for me.
- Apparently there are actual big time football managers in the game.
- EA Originals
- Select new developers can partner with EA to get their games published, with all profits going to developers
- First game Fe
- If EA does not try to push any changes to the titles here, it could help bring much needed innovation.
- Star Wars
- 2 news games coming out, but they didn't actually say anything about what they are going to be.
- New content for Battlefront. Maybe I should pick it up sometime soon.
- Battlefield 1
- Why do they even bother with numbering schemes on anything anymore?
- That aside, while it is not my cup of tea, it is nice to see the series going back in time.
- Interesting to see how they balance the "Super" vehicles, such as blimps.
- Other notes
- Almost all their new games are using the FrostByte engine, and they are not about to allow us to forget.
- Remember that EA Play exists
- Doing a charity drive related to EA Play
