What To Except With Sony's DualShock 4...

Sony just had there press conference yesterday and man was it an amazing. We saw so many new games and technology going to be put into the PlayStation 4. Graphics looked amazing I cannot wait to see what is in store for Sony later this year. There however was one major thing they didn't show and that my friends was the Console itself; but no worries gamers even if they didn't show the console, they did however show the new Dualshock 4 controller and man is it amazing. Below we will be discussing the differences from the new Dualshock controller compared to the Dualshock 3.

D-Pad: The D-Pad has gotten a slight upgrade compared to the last two generations as you can see the new Dualshock 4 has the buttons raised up a bit. Looks like it will provide better feel and grip on the D-Pad then last generation model.

Front Design & Weight: The new DualShock controller weights a little more than the last generation controller, weighting in at 210 g (7.4 oz.) and has dimensions of 162 × 52 × 98 mm (6.4 × 2.0 × 3.9 in). Compared to the DualShock 3 controller weighting in at 192 g (6.7 oz.)And has dimensions of 160 mm × 97 mm × 55 mm (6.20 × 3.78  × 2.20). Looking at the controller straight on you can see a couple of differences. 1) The built-in two-point capacitive touch pad on the front of the controller, which can be clickable 2) You notice the "Start" & "Select" buttons are no more but instead replaced by the Share button and the option button. Share button is a new feature that will be coming to the PlayStation 4. Once that button is clicked you can share your videos to friends and it can be even uploaded, while in mid game. It can be also used to do live-streaming, PSN profiles and spectator mode. The Option button seems like it will be like the in-game menu. 4) The analog sticks have a new design; they have more grips and very interesting outer rings. My guess to keep the players thumbs on the analog without losing grip and falling off. 5) I also noticed that they are speaker on the controller my guess the controller might have some kind of in game sound coming out of it kind of like the old Wii remotes did.

Triggers & Backing: The R1 & L1 triggers are respectively bigger and also round. There is also a new design on the R2 & L2 triggers. The back of the controller seems like it has textured design on the back of it, I am hoping it has a gripe feel to it but we will wait and see.

LED Light: Now the only thing I was able to pick up from the press conference on the LED light was it was used to indicate players. So maybe I am guess it changes colors depending on what player you are. If anyone knows post it in the comment section.
