The mantra of the pokémon trainer has always been to catch them all. This is not always an easy task. Thankfully, every so often, Nintendo tosses us a bone. From now until the end of Halloween you can get a free Supersized Pumpkaboo if you have Pokémon X / Y. Just check for a gift online before launching your game.

The geeks have whined, bitched, and moaned. Now they get to see the fruits of their labor. EA and Bioware are releasing free DLC that will expand (read: not change) the ending to the epic that is Mass Effect 3. The DLC will add extra cinematic scenes as an epilogue to the game. BioWare believes that this will strike a nice balance between between answering the fans questions and maintaining the artistic vision of Casey Hudson and his team.
Look forward to downloading the DLC on all three platforms (PC, 360, and PS3) some time this summer. And while they have it marked as expiring on 04/12/2014 they do plan on keeping it free and availble as long as they can, but they add expiration dates to all free content.
So it appears that The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall turned 10 yesterday. As a present Bethesda is giving you the game for free at http://elderscrolls.com/daggerfall/. I don't know if this is old news or new news, but since I just heard about it I felt it was worth talking about.
Just remember, when you start playing this game take note that it was made in 1996, so the graphics are going to look really dated. As seen from this screen shot:

Daggerfall featured a massive true 3-D world the size of Great Britain and helped usher a gaming renaissance in 1996. The full version of Daggerfall is available for download and playable through a DOS emulator.
A few months back I posted a few videos of Mario with a portal. Well it appears that the idea took deeper root than we thought it did. The team at stabyourself.net is now creating this:
Yes, a banner! What? You don't like just a banner? OK fine, this is actually a game that combines the original Super Mario Bros. and the portal idea from, you guessed it, Portal. The game will have the original Super Mario levels, the Lost Levels, and a built-in level editor. Finally the game will have simultaneous multiplayer. So let's look forward to this game (which will be FREE) to come out soon. In the mean time sate your appetite with this video of the gameplay.
Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary wallpaperI'm glad to see that Skyward Sword has a solid release date now. I haven't been this excited for a Zelda title in awhile. Possibly not since Ocarina of Time. I've enjoyed the Zelda titles that have come out since then, but there is something about this new one that has me thinking about Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past, which is my favorite Zelda title. To show my appreciation and love for the series I'm posting up for you, our readers, another wallpaper. This one as you can guess by the title is in homage to the Legend of Zelda series. Like the Mario wallpaper I was thinking about the items that just have that distinctive classic Zelda feel. I've made most of the items harken to my favorite A Link to the Past, though you will find a couple of items that are found in other games. It seems stranged to think that it's the 25th Anniversary of the series, considering I have been playing since the first installment. Man it makes me feel old. In any case I hope that everyone enjoys this wallpaper. It took me a lot longer than the Mario one, but I think the effort was well worth it for the final result. Mario Bros. wallpaper image sampleI've been working on some artwork and decided to share a piece with all of you who follow us online. I actually got the idea from trying to work out some sort of Mario Bros. button. I was just sketching out some ideas, but kinda like the idea of the mushroom flanked by fire flowers and it sort of just carried on from there. I know it's not every item available in every game, but I wanted to cover just enough to get idea across. Most of them are old school too, so I like that fact. I know I'm a couple of years late for the Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary, but that's okay. I think I'll actually make it for the Zelda one, so keep your eyes peeled for that post! Sony North America has come up with what amounts to a bribe for the massive failure of their online service, and it is not too bad. For those that are fast enough Sony is offereing ALL Playstation Network customers 2 of 5 games. You have 30 days to get those game and once you grab them they are yours forever. Your choices are:

This is the permanent stuff you get to keep as a "my bad" gift. And hey, if you have both a PS3 and a PSP that is 4 free games. They also have some things that are going to be nice, but seem more like a marketing gimick, which I guess it really needed at this point given all the not so great press they got the past few weeks.
I do like how they are giving people that were already paying for some of the services such as Qriocity and Playstation Plus an additional 30 days over everyone else. Makes you seems a little more special. So does this bribe work for you guys?
