For the first time in 17 years Blizzard announced their first actual new franchise, Overwatch. A game set 60 years in the future and 30 years after a robot uprising. When the robot uprising over whelmed individual government armies they formed the world wide peacekeeping force, Overwatch. Here is the trailer to set the stage.

Nintendo loves the 3DS, and who can blame them. It is an awesome system, it has fun games, it brings people together via the Mii Plaza, and it is easy to skin to get new people buy it (or people who already have it to get new ones). With that said Nintendo has announced not 1, but 3 new 3DS designs.

OK, that is all a lie, but it brings me into what something that is becoming more relevant in video games, taking a popular game from an older console and remaking it for the new generation. We have seen this with Halo, Kingdom Hearts and now The Last of Us. But is this really something we want, or is it just a cheap(ish) way to make us buy the same game twice?

Magic, it is a wondrous thing that allows the impossible to happen. Flying carpets, repairing broken items in an instant and making games such as quidditch. But in a world where magic is fully accessible by everyone, in a world where magic makes everyone's lives easier, would we have video games?
